Why We Chose Organic Cotton for Our Children's Clothing

When we first became parents, we quickly realised that not all children's clothing is created equal.

Our son has always had sensitive, eczema-prone skin. We noticed that some clothes left him hot, uncomfortable and constantly scratching, especially after a busy day of running around outdoors. As parents, it's difficult to watch your child feel uncomfortable, so we started paying much closer attention to the fabrics he was wearing.

That's when we discovered organic cotton.

Almost immediately, we noticed a difference. Organic cotton felt noticeably softer against his skin and was much more breathable. He seemed more comfortable, wasn't constantly tugging at his clothes and his skin wasn't becoming as irritated during the day.

While every child's skin is different and no fabric can guarantee relief from eczema, choosing soft, breathable clothing made a real difference for our family.

Why organic cotton?

Organic cotton is naturally soft, breathable and gentle against delicate skin. Because children spend their days climbing, running, exploring and playing outdoors, comfortable clothing really matters.

We wanted clothes that our children could wear all day without feeling hot, itchy or restricted.

At Seedling & Sow, we believe childhood is about muddy boots, bug hunts, climbing trees, gardening, picnics and adventures outside.

Why we started Seedling & Sow

Seedling & Sow began after searching for soft organic cotton clothing that was kind to our son's sensitive skin and inspired children to spend more time outdoors. When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, we decided to create it ourselves.
